Updated version!

A speculative family pack of the abelisaurid Carnotaurus sastrei walking through an arid ambient of Ancient regions of Southern region of South America. This bizarre animals lived in the Cretaceous in Argentina and had two horns on the top of the head and very reduced arms.

PS: The horn size, the throat skin and the dermal plates display are speculative.

New version (September 11 - 2010)

I change some aspects of the head. I based the hole drawing in a skeleton restoration that are little incorrect. I also reduce the horn size.

They look very anatomically correct - I LOVE those stubby arms!! Many artists seem to draw them too long or pointing forward, like raptor's. Great work!

I noticed the difference in horn size among'st the babies. Could that perhaps be an example of sexual dimorphism?

So.I did'nt find evidence that Carnotaurus had sexual dimorphism... but I belive that hornes that size could represent something like that. About the chicks could be in that way... but could only represent stages of development.
